I enjoyed your google class at TLA last week. Thanks so much. I attended the Google Gadgets class. You mentioned something about “getting a code and putting it in the text of an html.” This reminded me of a question I have that maybe you can answer. I have a webpage with Microsoft at http://www.bibshoppe.com. When you click on a product, it goes to my zoovy e-commerce site. From the e-commerce site home navigation button, I want it to link back to my MS webpage. How do you link a navigation button to another site. I don’t know much about copying and pasting codes or even how to get codes. Your class got me to thinking. If you can give me any hints, I will appreciate them. Thank you.
I’ve never used any of the tools you mention so you’ll probably need to ask the Zoovy people. But I did find this help page: http://www.zoovy.com/webdoc/index.cgi?VERB=DOC&DOCID=50272
I don’t know what you see when you look at your version of the Zoovy page so I can’t tell you what it will look like, but you would want the word “home” to link to the URL you want. There might be a visual way to do this – usually it looks like one link out of a chain link. You highlight the text and then click that link and paste in the URL.
In the code view a link looks like this:
<a href="http://www.theurlyouwanttogoto.com">The text you want to see</a>
So you would put the URL where I put http://www.theurlyouwanttogoto.com
There are a lot of great tutorials out there – http://delicious.com/acclibrarians/html
